PURPOSE: An apparatus for transferring and piling strip is provided which prevents damage of transfer rolls by impact of dropping strip, reduces noise generated during piling of the strip and minimizes surface flaws formed on the strip during the transfer process so that quality of the strip is improved. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus(1) for transferring and piling strip comprises a strip piling part(5) comprising a plurality of strip piling transfer cars(10) arranged between transfer rolls(210), and a rubber plate(12) adhered to an upper part of the strip piling transfer cars(10) so that noise is reduced when strip is lifted up by crane(200); a strip transfer part(20) comprising rails(22) on which wheels(15) of the strip piling transfer cars(10) travel, and a plurality of which are positioned between the transfer rolls(210), and a driving source(25) for moving the strip piling transfer cars(10) back and forth so that the strip on the strip piling transfer cars(10) is moved back and forth along a length direction of the transfer rolls(210); and a strip ascent and descent part(50) comprising a plural resting stands(62a,62b) which are installed at a lower part of the transfer rolls(210), and on which the strip piling part(5) and strip transfer part(20) are mounted, and a driving source(55) for ascending and descending the resting stands(62a,62b) through link part(70), wherein the strip(212) is put on an upper part of the strip piling transfer cars(10) from the side of the transfer rolls(210), the strip piling transfer cars(10) is ascended and moved to the side of the transfer rolls(210), and then the strip(212) is descended and piled up on the transfer rolls(210).
