The temporary traffic condoning system, primarily for use in place of traffic cones and the like, comprises an elongate flexible tread to which pop-up reflectors are secured so that they can move between a storage position where they are parallel alongside the tread and an in-use position where they extend up from the tread, with the tread and reflectors being designed so that they can be stored around a reel. One or more reels may be carried by a vehicle, which may be either specially adapted for the job or otherwise, such that the tread can be deployed as the vehicle moves along with the reflectors moving to the upright position as the tread is unwound from the reel. Similarly, deployed treads may be retrieved by a moving vehicle and rewound onto a reel. |
