TAPER SIDE LOAD COIL SPRING

PURPOSE: A TSL(Taper Side Load) coil spring is provided to improve ride comfort of a vehicle to match a central axis of the coil spring to a load axis by tapering the diameter of materials of a suspension coil spring for the vehicle, to easily produce the coil spring than an usual side load spring, to simply move the central axis of the coil spring to the load axis of various vehicles, and to produce the coil spring from an existing production line without modifying production facilities. CONSTITUTION: In a suspension coil spring(1) for a vehicle, a TSL coil spring alternates a first diameter unit(11) for tapering the diameter of materials and a second diameter unit(12) for non-tapering the diameter. The first diameter unit is positioned at one side of the coil spring and the second diameter unit is positioned at other side. A central axis of the coil spring is freely changed at desired directions and angles and accordingly the central axis matches with a load axis. The first diameter unit is tapered between 1.5¯10% of the diameter of the second diameter unit to make the maximum stress of the first diameter unit below 100kgf/mm2.
