PURPOSE: To reduce deterioration in visibility and degraded response speed resulting from cell gap difference generated on the boundary between a reflection region and a transmission region and in the vicinity thereof in a vertical alignment mode liquid crystal display device having the reflection region and the transmission region. CONSTITUTION: An opening region 125A as a first alignment division means to divide alignment of liquid crystal molecules is formed on the boundary of a pixel electrode 111A of a reflection part 120 and a pixel electrode 111B of a transmission part 121 or in the vicinity thereof.
