PURPOSE: A method for checking a preference of consumers using an avatar is provided to check a preference of a consumer through an avatar. CONSTITUTION: An item capable of being attached on an avatar system is created based on a design received from an affiliated concern, a code is designated in the item, and the item is stored in a server computer(S31). Consumer information corresponded to definite identity information is received and stored from a user who uses the avatar system using a client computer(S32). In the case that the user selects and purchases one item in the avatar system, purchase information including a purchase place, a purchase motive, and a simultaneous purchase with other item besides information as to a purchase item is obtained and stored in the avatar system by responding to a purchase action(S33). Consumer information and purchase information are extracted according to standards being suggested from an affiliated concern, and purchase statistics are obtained according to items(S34).
