A mattress having a core section of latex foam rubber at least partiall y surrounded by border sections of synthetic urethane foam having substantiall y the same thickness as the core section. The synthetic border sections are adhesively attached to the periphery of the core section. The mattress can b e used as a mattress topper as well as a full mattress.
