FIELD: paper-and-pulp industry. SUBSTANCE: composition to be introduced into fibrous suspension before formation of paper tape contains, ad major component, substance prepared from starch with molecular weight reduced to viscosity level from 10 to 400 mPa.s, which is subjected to cationization in solution with quaternary ammonium compound to cationic capacity level below 4 mequ/g and at least one other component, in particular polyamide epichlorohydrin resin and starch-based polymer dispersion, which further contains copolymer of a grafted monomer, containing at least one vinyl monomer and ensuring formation of polymer with film formation temperature from 0 to 70 C, and water.
