FIELD: hydraulic engineering. SUBSTANCE: breakwater includes vertical supports anchored in bottom and horizontal water breaking member joined to them and submerged in water. Vertical supports and water breaking member are made of worn-out metal tubes of large diameter which can not be used anymore in gas lines because of their strength and anticorrosion properties. Internal spaces of tubes are filled with ground, for instance, sand. EFFECT: increased degree of wave breaking, holding of sand drifts washed by wave currents away from bank across artificial barrier and protection by that of gas lines against wash-away and of banks from destruction. 1 dwg
