PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a POS system provided with an empty seat managing function which reduces a user's waiting time for an empty seat in congestion at lunchtime or the like and unnecessitates always waiting at the entrance of a store. SOLUTION: A portable terminal 1, a POS 2 for adjusting processing, HTs 5a to n for inputting ordered contents from customers, a radio unit 3 for radio communication with the HTs 5a to n, kitchen printers 6a to n for printing the ordered contents, a controller 4 for controlling the printers 6a to n, etc., a cable transferring station 7 for communication between the HT 5a to n and the controller 4 with infrared rays, and a radio unit 18 for radio communication with the terminal 1 are included in the POS 2. Consequently, the customer waiting an empty seat can receive calling information from the unit 18 in the POS 2 in spite of moving away from the store by carrying the simple portable terminal 1 with a display and a speech function. |
