PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image sensor module with a simple structure that can accurately specify the height of a lenses so as to thereby obtain a sharp picked up image and can also reduce the entire manufacture cost. SOLUTION: The image sensor module X provided with: an image sensor chip 4 mounted on a board 5; a housing 1 to which a step 1a for supporting the lenses is formed at a part upper than the image sensor chip 4; and the lenses A, B mounted on the step 1a to form the image of an object to the image sensor chip 4, includes a lens retainer 2 fitted to the housing 1. The lens retainer 2 is elastically deformed at least at its part and configured to push the lenses A, B to the step 1a by an elastic force on the basis of elastic deformation. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
