摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device and a tracking control method capable of improving the recording quality by reducing de-tracking by improving a delay in a phase of a tracking error signal caused by the movement of a beam spot. SOLUTION: The tracking error signal TE17 can be obtained by obtaining the main push-pull signals MPPa, MPPb. MPPc phase-shifted from zero-order diffracted light of a main beam, and the main bean±primary diffracted light, respectively, obtaining sub-push-pull signals SPPa, SPPb, SPPc phase-shifted from zero-order diffracted light of a sub-beam, and the sub-beam±primary diffracted light, respectively, obtaining tracking error signals TE36, TE37, TE38 by subtracting the sub-push-pull signals SPPa, SPPb, SPPc from the main push-pull signals MPPa, MPPb, MPPc, respectively, and summing them up.
