PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a keyboard apparatus with portable and convenient structure for attaining miniaturization, weight reduction of the keyboard apparatus, for further enhancing its operability and reliability and for facilitating attachment of a portable terminal. SOLUTION: A key switch constituting a keyboard can be separated into an operation unit and a switch unit, a key switch part is fixed on a main body frame, switching operation is guaranteed at the time of operation, settling of a membrane sheet is prevented at the time of storage (at the time of folding, etc.) by shifting the operation unit and the switch unit at prescribed intervals at the time of non-operation, reliability of switching is enhanced and attachment of a portable information terminal is facilitated by for reducing thickness, size and weight of the keyboard.
