PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recognize a surface pattern of an object, check it with the pattern which is input in advance, and to carry out locking or unlocking. SOLUTION: A method of operation of an object recognition lock device (10) includes a step for scanning the texture of at least one surface of the object (14), a step for comparing the texture thereof to the standard texture, and a step for operating a lock assembly (20) when the texture of the surface of the object matches the reference texture.
