PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a climbing-type work unit which allows quick assembly and disassembly thereof, and to provide a unit frame. SOLUTION: The climbing-type work unit is comprised of vertical supports 21 formed by arranging a plurality of support frames 30 each including vertical pipes (27, 28) so as to be opposed to each other and in parallel with each other, and connecting the support frames 30 together. Each vertical pipe has joint portions at upper and lower edges. Each space setting member 22 having its ends attached to the respective support frames 30 to set a distance between the support frames 30, 30 to a predetermined value. Each horizontal connecting beam 23 formed by connecting together horizontal pipes 32 to 34 each binding the mutually adjacent support frames 30 together, to thereby horizontally fix the support frames 30 together. Each fastener 24 attached to the vertical support 21, and detachably fastened to a skeleton of a building. Each scaffold support beam 25 vertically attached to the vertical support 21 or the horizontal connecting beam 23, and each scaffold board 26 having both ends thereof detachably mounted on the adjacent scaffold board support beams 25.
