PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition easily obtainable and drastically reduced in the permeation ( loss ) of a fluid such as a cooling medium, and to provide a high-pressure hose easily obtainable, drastically reduced in the permeation ( loss ) of a fluid such as a cooling medium, therefore especially suitable for cooling medium transport. SOLUTION: The rubber composition is such one that a lamellar clay mineral filler and in addition, nylon are dispersed in a rubber matrix. The high-pressure hose for use in transporting cooling media comprises a tubular inner side rubber layer, a tubular fibrous reinforcing layer covering the rubber layer and a tubular outer side rubber layer covering the reinforcing layer, wherein at least the inner side rubber layer is formed of said rubber composition.
