<p>A projector for projecting an image on an outside screen. In an optical unit (1), liquid crystal panels (22, 23, 24) are arranged with their shorter sides substantially parallel to the plane composed of principal ray of each color light synthesized by a crossed prism (25). From the shorter sides of the liquid crystal panels (22, 23, 24), a transmission system cable (30) is pulled out. A cooling fan (40) is arranged in such a manner that the blow direction of the cooling wind is substantially parallel to the longer sides of the liquid crystal panels (22, 23, 24).</p> |
