A method for control and regulation of a DC-DC converter (13) for at least two solenoid valves (11, 12), where each valve is supplied with a current that is generated by the converter. A control unit (19) is used to determine if the total current supplied to the valves represents overloading of the DC-DC converter and, if this is the case, the DC-DC converter is adjusted so that it is better able to handle its loading. An Independent claim is made for a device for control and regulation of a DC-DC converter for at least two solenoid valves.
