<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission module which improves the utilization efficiency of terminals of a host control unit, an optical transmitter and an optical communication system. <P>SOLUTION: For adjusting the wavelength of lights emitted from optical transmitter modules 12, a communication means 110 in a host control unit 11 designates one optical transmitter module 12 and sends a wavelength adjustment request instruction thereto, then a control means 125 in the designated optical transmitter module receives the adjustment request instruction by a communication means 120, and the control means makes a wavelength adjusting means 124 adjusts the wavelength of a light emitted from a laser diode 121 for a wavelength requested, by the wavelength adjust request instruction. Thus it suffices for adjusting the wavelength of lights emitted from the optical transmitter modules 12, that the host control unit designates the module 12 and sends a wavelength adjust request signal thereto and hence has only a signal line for sending the request signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
