POSITIONING MECHANISM FOR MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING COMPATIBLE BIOPSY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for accurately disposing an MRI induction biopsy device to perform another diagnosis and treatment for a biopsy part without requiring further invasive treatment.

SOLUTION: This positioning device is used for a medical compression device for positioning a biopsy probe in stereostatic biopsy method. The device includes: a plate having a plurality of openings; a fitting device receiving the biopsy probe to engage with each other and including a registration positioning guide for aligning the biopsy probe to the plate; and a biopsy device support adapted to support the base end part of the biopsy device and having a tip part engaged with a probe housing.
