<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage device including a write-once type memory having compatibility with the existing host device constituted so as to use an rewritable memory. <P>SOLUTION: The storage device is provided with the write-once type memory (104) adapted so as to store a data file, the rewritable memory (704) including a file access table and a device controller (106) constituted so as to control operations of the storage device. Under use, the storage device can be used for receiving data to be stored from the host device, stores the data in the write-once type memory of the storage device and updates the file access table stored in the rewritable memory of the storage device so as to emulate a rewritable storage card. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
