PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EL display that make it possible to efficiently lead out light confined inherently within an EL element as waveguide light, to the outside, without impairing the display quality such as contrast and resolution of an EL display type display. SOLUTION: In this EL display type display 100 of the present invention, each of the plurality of EL elements 10 is arranged in each picture element to lead out emitted light from a luminescent layer 2 via an positive electrode 5 and a negative electrode 3. This optical member of the present invention is provided with a light dispersion layer 4 formed between the luminescent layer 2 of the each EL element 10 and a light emitting face of the each EL element 10, and the light dispersion layer 4 is arranged to correspond to arrangement for respectives (2a, 2b, 2c) in the luminescent layer 2 of the each EL element 10.
