PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for folding an agricultural implement with which the implement part extending to both the left and the right sides relatively to the central part can be folded so as to oppose the side of the central part respectively and clutches are automatically disengaged by the operation. SOLUTION: The method for folding the agricultural implement 1 is carried out as follows. The agricultural implement 1 is trisected into the central part 4 and the left and the right implement parts 5L and 5R and the central part 4 is formed into a side drive shape by providing transmission cases 9 at the outer ends. The left and the right ends of the central part 4 and the inner ends of the left and the right implement parts 5L and 5R are rotatable by nearly 180°with rotating fulcra 6. The back surface (apron 16) of the central part 4 and back surface (apron 16) of the left and right implement parts 5L and 5R are opposed and foldable. The implement parts 5L and 5R are rotated by nearly 180°from positions where the implement parts 5L and 5R are developed into an operating state relatively to the central part 4 and folded. In the process, the clutches 14 are installed in a transmission shaft 7 or an operating shaft 11 for opposing or separating the opposing ends of the central part 4 and the left and the right implement parts 5L and 5R.
