PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modular jack connector for improving the workability of connection work. SOLUTION: This modular jack connector A is constituted by a connector retaining body 10 and a press-contact lever 20. The connector retaining body 10 is constituted by a connector retaining base 11 placed with a modular jack B, a lever support base 12 upwardly projected from one end of the connector retaining base 11 and turnably and axially supporting the press-contact lever 20, and a holding part 13 extending from the other end of the connector retaining base 11, and is formed into an approximately L shape. Ribs 14a-14d are provided so as to be projected on the connector retaining base 11. Right and left side parts of a cover 120 are in contact with the lever support base 12 and a lateral piece 14e of the rib 14b, and the front surface of the cover 120 is in contact with the vertical pieces of the ribs 14a, 14b. Left and right corners of a rear section of a body 112 of the body are in contact with the ribs 14c, 14d, and the upper surface of the cover 120 is in contact with the upper pieces of the ribs 14a, 14b.
