PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit a thumb-turn from being turned by a wire etc., and to enable an operation using only turning, which is similar to a conventional operation. SOLUTION: This retrofitted thumb-turn 21 for covering a knob 31 of an existing thumb-turn 23 is provided with: a turning disc 51 whose rear surface 51b has a fit-in hole 51a for inserting the knob 31, and which is attached in a covering manner by fixing the knob 31, inserted into the fit-in hole 51a, by a screwing means 53 so as to surround the knob 31; a stop shaft 55 which is mounted and fixed on a front surface 51c of the turning disc 51 and whose front end surface has a flange part 55a; and an idling member 57 which is formed in such a cup shape as to cover the turning disc 51 with a concave inner surface of a curved surface from the front surface 51c, is turnably supported on the stop shaft 55, has disconnection from the stop shaft 55 regulated by the flange part 55a, and has a window part for presenting the peripheral edge of the turning disc 51.
