The present invention is a direct-point attachment glazing (bolted glass) system (20) comprising: (1) a polymer interlayer (28); (2) at least one shee t of glass (24); (3) at least one receptor for an attachment means; and (4) at least one attachment means, wherein the polymer interlayer (28) is bonded on at least one surface to at least one sheet of glass (24), and wherein at lea st one receptor (22) is adhesively bonded to the glass by the polymer interlaye r (28) in such a way that the receptor (28) is positioned to mechanically acce pt the attachment means.
