<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus in which a control program can be rewritten efficiently. <P>SOLUTION: When data reception is ready in program rewrite processing, a CPU 11 informs a program transmitter 30 that data is receivable. When header information of a control program is received from the program transmitter 30 and a decision is made that the control program is executable in the imaging apparatus 10 with reference to the header information, the CPU 11 begins to erase relevant control program data in a flash memory 12 and, at the same time, begins to receive the control program data from the program transmitter 30 before storing it temporarily in an image memory 21. When completion of reception of the control program and completion of erasure of data in the flash memory 12 are recognized, the control program stored in the image memory 21 is read out and written in the flash memory 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
