<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous pulse stream generator capable of normally operating even with a low voltage clock signal to reduce power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: A start pulse stream IN, an inverted signal IN' thereof, a clock signal CK and an inverted signal CK' thereof are inputted to first to fourth input terminals of a first shift register 211, and the inverted signal of the clock signal and the clock signal are inputted to third and fourth input terminals of a second shift register 212. First and second input terminals of a first level shifter 221 are connected to second and third output terminals of the first shift register 211 and a first output terminal, and first and second input terminals and an output terminal of a second level shifter 222 are connected to second and third output terminals of the second shift register 212 and the first output terminal. Input terminals of first and second inverters 231 and 232 are connected to output terminals of the first and second level shifters 221 and 222, and output terminals thereof output first and second pulse streams.
