<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MRI induction biopsy device improved in positioning accuracy to perform another diagnosis and treatment for a biopsy part without further invasive treatment. <P>SOLUTION: The biopsy device includes a detachable probe assembly and a cutter member. The probe assembly has a tubular needle and an engaging device. The needle has a tip end part inserted in the tissue, a base end part, a longitudinal shaft between the end parts, and a cutter opening near the tip end part. The engaging device is connected to the base end part of the needle, and has a cutter access port. The cutter member has a fixing device, and an operation cutter. The fixing device is selectively fixed to the engaging device of the detachable probe assembly. The operation cutter is adapted to reciprocate in the needle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
