<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the processing time for transfer or return to a hibernation mode in an image processor provided with a hibernation control device. <P>SOLUTION: This control device comprises a print image compression part 326 for compressing a print image, a print image extension part 328 for performing a corresponding extension processing, and a memory image storage control part 300 for analyzing whether the storage content stored in a main memory 130 is processable by the print image compression part 326 or not to form a compression method table. The memory image storage control part 300 compresses the memory image while switching a CPU compression part 322 and the print image compression part 326 in reference to the compression method table and stores it in an HDD 54. A memory image recovery control part 310 extends the information read from the HDD 54 while switching a CPU extension part 324 and the print image extension part 238 in conformation to the CPU compression part 322 and print image compression part 326 used in the compression processing, and returns it to the main memory 130. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
