PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for maturating keratinocytes and increasing their areas.

SOLUTION: An oral administration composition contains a promoter for keratinocyte maturation composed of α-linolenic acid, chondroitin sulfate or ceramide. Essence of a plant of the family Labiatae such as Perilla frutescens crispa, Perilla ocimoides is preferably cited as a source for the α-linolenic acid. Essence of shark cartilage is preferably cited as a source for the chondroitin sulfate. Essence of wheat and/or rice is preferably cited as a source for the ceramide. The oral administration composition raises the effect of a cosmetic.
