<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid jet thrombectomy apparatus for delivering thrombus or a broke piece of unnecessary tissue from a vein and an arteria. <P>SOLUTION: This fluid jet thrombectomy apparatus includes a semi-rigid intermediate tube between the base end and terminal end discharge tubes. The semi-rigid intermediate tube has a tube outlet of a guide wire positioned in a place shorter than the half of the length of a catheter, measured from the most terminal end spot of the catheter. Such a place of the guide wire is suitable for rotating the guide wire (maneuvering) or advancing in the longitudinal direction, and also suitable for rotating the catheter or advancing the same in the longitudinal direction by a single user. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
