<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening/closing driving unit of an electric sliding door, which enables a manual opening/closing operation to be easily performed from the side of the sliding door even in an improvement in the efficiency of the mesh of gears of a speed-reducing electric mechanism and the disuse of a clutch mechanism, and which can reduce costs by also disusing a closure actuator. <P>SOLUTION: This opening/closing driving unit of the electric sliding door comprises the sliding door 8 provided in a vehicle; a winding drum body 5 which is driven so as to be normally rotated or reversely rotated, when the opening/closing operation of the sliding door 8 is performed by an electric motor 2 or by hand; and a pulling means such as a belt or a wire 9, the ends of which are bound to the drum body 5 and the sliding door 8, respectively. The driving-side motor 2 and the driven-side drum body 5 are directly coupled together for the disuse of a clutch means for controlling engagement and disengagement between the motor 2 and the drum body 5; the power transmission efficiency of a power transmission mechanism is set at 70% or more; and a lead angle in data on the mesh of the gears is set to be below self-lock limit characteristic curves. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
