PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable effective investigation into the causes of abnormal events later.
SOLUTION: A driving recorder 20 makes selection for what abnormal events data is related to and for how many amount of data is stored in a non-volatile memory 25 in accordance with values for an abnormality counter of abnormal events (the frequency of occurrence), a data amount required for analyzing the abnormal events and the storage capacity of the non-volatile memory 25. Specifically, since the high frequency of occurrence may lead to more signs of abnormality than the low frequency of occurrence, e.g., data related to the abnormal events with the high frequency of occurrence is stored in priority and data related to the abnormal events with the high frequency of occurrence is stored in a mount equal or nearly equal to the data amount required for analyzing the abnormal events. The data for events showing the signs of abnormality is stored in a proper amount, providing for the investigation into the causes later.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
|
