PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-conditioning system for using two types of cycles together by using one compressor. SOLUTION: In the air-conditioning system 1, a multi-vane type (or scroll type) compressor 2, an indoor equipment heat exchanger 11, an outdoor equipment heat exchanger 12, and an intermediate pressure heat exchanger 13 are connected by refrigerant piping 3. The compressor 2 has three refrigerant entrances and exits, namely a suction opening 21, a discharge opening 22, and an intermediate pressure extraction entrances and exits 23. Additionally, the passage direction of a refrigerant gas to the indoor equipment heat exchanger 11 or the outdoor equipment heat exchanger 12 is switched by a four-way valve 15. Further, the intermediate pressure heat exchanger 13 is connected to the intermediate pressure extraction inlet 23. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
