PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball screw device suitably usable for a small-lead screw with a narrow space between thread grooves, or a multiple thread screw and having excellent operability and durability. SOLUTION: This ball screw device 30 is provided with a circulating piece 40 fitted to the end face of a nut 16 while having a ball circulating groove 21 for communicating a load raceway track formed between a thread groove 12 of a screw shaft 13 and a thread groove 14 of the nut 16 to allow a large number of balls 15 to roll, with a ball return passage 17 of the nut 16; and a tongue part 20 provided at the tip of the ball circulating groove 21 and fitted to the thread groove 12 to scoop up the balls 15 rolling between both thread grooves 12, 14. In this constitution, the axial inner portion of the nut 16 of the ball circulating groove 21 including the tongue part 20 in the circulating piece 40 is cut off. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
