PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal sealing agent having extremely low contamination properties for a liquid crystal, excellent coating workability and laminating property for a substrate, a long usable period, high storage stability and intense adhesion strength. SOLUTION: The sealing agent contains as essential components: (a) a partially esterified epoxy acrylate resin or a partially esterified epoxy methacrylate resin obtained by esterification of an epoxy resin having at least two epoxy groups in one molecule with an acrylic acid or a methacrylic acid in 30 to 80% equivalent to the epoxy groups in the above epoxy resin; (b) a radical producing type photopolymerization initiator; (c) solid aromatic polyamine having an ether linkage as a thermosetting agent; and (d) a filler having≤3μm average particle size.
