PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide manufacturing techniques to efficiently manufacture zeolite. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing zeolite includes processes of: (a) heating and mixing incineration ash with a first alkali solution; and (b) supplying water and/or an alkali solution to the treated material obtained in the above process to prepare a composition for the reaction of the incineration ash and a second alkali solution having lower concentration than that of the first alkali solution, and then heating the composition for the reaction to effect the reaction of the incineration ash with the alkali. By carrying out the process (a), the hydrothermal reaction in the process (b) is promoted, which results in efficient production of zeolite from the incineration ash. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
