Procedure is performed in cycles to make moving objects stand out from background. Image contents of number of temporal sequence of single images are Fourier transformed to provide power spectrum. Power spectrum are compared with frequency band specific threshold values. Overstepping of threshold is added to last image. Envelope of last image provides rough contour. Image content of sequence of single images are Fourier transformed. Each single image is divided into equal image segments, power spectrum of image segments having same image coordinates, is determined and compared with frequency band specific threshold values. Overstepping of the threshold value in relation to image segment coordinates, is added to the last single image of the temporal series, whose envelope provides a rough outline. Adaptive scenery forming static background, is subtracted from image content of the last single image of the image area enclosed by the rough outline, this causes a fine outline surrounding the object to be inserted into the last image of temporal sequence. |
