The connector (1) has a reception slot (3) for receiving the edge of a circuit card (10) and a push-push ejection mechanism for ejection of the inserted circuit card, positioned adjacent the reception slot. The ejection mechanism has a stop element (24) rotated away from the reception slot upon depression of a push-button (22) and projecting into the reception slot, for preventing insertion of a circuit card, when the push-button is in its raised position.
