<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce waste of paper sheets by reprinting when an amended file is retransferred due to mistakes in a file transferred from a host to a printer. <P>SOLUTION: This printer driver counts the number of data bytes transferred to the printer. At the time when suspension command of a print is issued, the print data transferred to the printer are detected based on the counted number of bytes N.
