<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell capable of improving the overall power generation efficiency by equalizing the moisture distribution in a GDL (gas diffusion layer). <P>SOLUTION: This fuel cell generating water as a reaction product is provided with: separators 1 with passages 5 and 6 for a reactive gas formed on the surfaces thereof; gas diffusion layers 2 caught by the separators 1; and an electrolyte film 8 caught by the gas diffusion layers 2. The reaction gas passages 5 and 6 are constituted by alternately disposing the supplying gas passages 5 for supplying the reactive gas to the diffusion layers 2 and the discharging gas passages 6 for recovering the reactive gas from the diffusion layers 2. In the fuel cell, the flowing direction of the reactive gas in the gas passages 5 is made opposite to that in the gas passages 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
