<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the man-hour for adjustment of a peeling voltage that an operator makes. <P>SOLUTION: A printer capable of inputting form weight and a form type from an operator control panel is equipped with a means of calculating the value of a peeling voltage for the form from the values of the inputted form weight and form type and a function of setting the value calculated by the means in a printer engine. Further, the printer is equipped with a means of determining whether a drum lap jam occurs in the printer during printing when the printing is started by using the value of the peeling voltage found by the means and a function of re-setting a value of the peeling voltage when the means determines that a drum lap jam occurs. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
