<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize the recording area of a storage means (CD-R/RW, etc) by eliminating the necessity of a large capacity memory (hard disk, etc) and canceling the data to record. <P>SOLUTION: A recording device has a buffer for buffering data, a storage means for recording the data through the buffer, a record instruction means for instructing the recording of data, and a cancel instruction means for instructing the cancel of the data to record.
