<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planographic printing plate precursor capable of image recording by laser scanning exposure on the basis of digital signals, excellent in printing resistance, stain-proofing property and image reproducibility and capable of plate making by easy development or on-press development. <P>SOLUTION: The planographic printing plate precursor has a photothermal conversion layer comprising a compound which converts laser light to heat and a hydrophilic layer comprising at least one filler of a specified shape selected from the group consisting of an acicular filler and a porous filler and a hydrophilic binder in this order on a support. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
