PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact binocular with photographing function in which a observer visually inspects a photographing area and photographs with an intended composition. SOLUTION: In the binocular which is composed of an observing optical system, consisting from an object lens system, an erecting prism system and an eyepiece lens system, and a reducing and photographing optical system in which a luminous flux divided from the observing optical system is reduced and focused on an imaging element, the luminous flux is divided by making at least a surface of the erecting prism system translucent, and guided into the reducing and photographing optical system arranged between a left and a right lens barrels of the binocular.
