PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera in which a date is modified even though the standard radio waves are not properly received. SOLUTION: When errors occur in minute and hour data detected from the standard radio waves and it is discriminated to be NG, a procedure is shifted to S198 and discrimination is made to determine whether sum up date data have no error and are OK or not (S198). When it is discriminated that the sum up date data have no error and are OK, the procedure is shifted to S200 and year data are discriminated to be OK or not. When the year data have no error and are discriminated to be OK, a correct date is computed from the sum up date data and the year data (S202) and it is updated to have a new year, month and day (S204).
