PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aqueous composition comprising tezacitabine and having good storage stability. SOLUTION: This composition comprises (a) water, (b) the tezacitabine and (c) a buffer for maintaining the pH of the composition at about 7 or above. The buffer for adjusting the pH is selected from the group consisting of TRIS (2-amino-2-hydroxymethyl-1,3-propanediol), glycine, a glutamate and a phosphate.
