METHOD FOR COAGULATING AND SEPARATING GYPSUM, GYPSUM COAGULANT AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING ZINC

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for efficiently coagulating and separating gypsum from an aqueous solution. SOLUTION: The gypsum coagulant containing a polymer provided with an anionic portion and a hydrophobic portion and the method for coagulating and separating the gypsum by adding this gypsum coagulant to the aqueous solution containing the gypsum are provided. Thus, gypsum particles dissolved, or suspended and dispersed in the aqueous solution are efficiently charged and neutralized to cause primary coagulation. Also, the method for manufacturing zinc including the method for coagulating the gypsum is provided, by which the obstruction resulting from the scale formation of the gypsum is prevented and the smooth manufacturing of zinc is achieved.
