PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical, space saving and inexpensive sludge grinding method, and grinding equipment therefor. SOLUTION: In the sludge grinding method, sludge in a peripheral wall 10 is rotated by rotary blades 20 and, when the sludge is discharged from side wall of the peripheral wall 10, it is shorn by the rotary blades 20. The sludge grinding equipment is used for this method and equipped with the rotary blades 20 for rotating the peripheral wall 10 and sludge and the through-holes 11a are formed to the side wall of the peripheral wall.
