PURPOSE: Provided is an anti-allergic composition containing Arctium lappa seed extract which has excellent inhibiting effect on histamine release and on nitrogen oxide, related to induction of inflammation. CONSTITUTION: An anti-allergic composition is characterized by containing 0.05-10.00 wt.% of Arctium lappa seed extract, which is obtained by dipping Arctium lappa seeds in a solvent selected from purified water, methanol, ethanol, propanol, butanol, glycerol, propyleneglycol, 1,3-butyleneglycol, n-hexane, and chloroform at normal temperature, and then concentrated by extraction under reduced pressure.
